Write or Die
Welcome to Write or Die! This is a tool to help writers who are suffering from block. If you stop typing for a few seconds, all of your text gets deleted! Scientifically proven to be the cure for writer's block (Disclaimer: Write or Die is not scientifically proven to cure writer's block).
There are also various modes that you can choose from.
- Need to write a 300-word essay? Go for word limit mode!
- Don't have much time? Go for time limit mode!
- Want to not be burdened by the backspace key? Just Don't look back!
- and more! (and by more I mean one more but who's counting)
Made for the tool jam, the theme being "This tool is alive" The tool is alive in the fact that there is a literal beating heart that you must keep alive.
NB: Saving works differently on the web version than the desktop version.

WARNING: Are you sure you want to do this? The Web version is fine, except for saving. The uncompressed file is 179 megabytes.
Unzip the file and run "write-or-die.exe"

timer didn't run out and i randomly just got my stuff deleted :(
This is really cute but I feel like the balance is off, with setting 1 I have plenty of time to type but with setting 2 I have to type gibberish to keep it from ending, and I'm not a particularly slow typer
I really like this. Makes me want to make an extension similar to this but for coding.... :)

I really want this but as an extension to godot or unity or something. That'd be really...interesting for a game jam.
How would you even save the game and export?
With...idk..a "permanent save" button or smth..? That could NOT let you change that game with that extension on once you end it completely.
